Nabão River, a tributary of the river Zêzere, and the Roman bridge in Tomar are located near Republic Square. The main square in the city of Tomar is one of the few squares with true symbolism that, in addition to being historical, is Templar. With a square plan, it is located among the City Hall, the Church of Saint John Baptist, the Palace of Dona Maria da Silveira and buildings that were part of the history of this square. At the centre of this is the statue of D. Gualdim Pais (Templar Master and founder of the city).
